Filler

Poor Kogoro, being forced into doing poetry

I would probably find this linked verse thing at least mildly interesting if I didn't hate poetry with a burning passion

16:40 I really need to stop haphazardly guessing who the culprit is based on just gut feeling with practically no information and then being RIGHT!?!?!!! Its starting to get worrying this is like the 3rd time it has happened

Ok so this guy put a silly little code on his poems saying that he was the culprit and for what?? Imbecile. Why the hell would you do that

20:37 STOP!!! I didn't actually think it was gonna be important!?!???!! Either these filler episodes really are just that predictable or I'm a psychic cuz what the hell

To be fair, it's not unheard of for a killer, especially serial killers, to mess around like this by leaving hints that may point to themselves as the culprit. It sounds stupid, but it's more of a power /pride thing (genuinely can't think of the right word right now). For the killer to be able to sneak past the police, or even a great detective, can be a rush of adrenaline, I bet. Some killers who have done this are Paul Stephani who literally called the police and confessed his crimes. And if the movie is anything to be believed, the Zodiac killer would also call and confess to the murders he committed as well as send in disturbing letters. Heck, zodiac literally included ciphers, taunting the press and police by saying "Bet you can't figure this out."

It's a power thing, and seeing as the guy in this episode doesn't appear to be remorseful when he's found out solidifies that in my mind. Sure, he's sad, but I think it's more due to the fact he was caught rather than because he took another life. If he were on the ground, sobbing, then yeah I would think there was something up, but considering this guy's "specialist" status, I wouldn't past him that he's just really prideful and thought he would test his luck. Sure, if he were smart, he couldn't brag about it, but knowing it might have been enough. So yeah, an imbecile because he outed himself, but I hope that explains *why* he may have done it ^^

umm.... ngl this was soooo boring.
i didn't get the poem thing and it felt weird watching this episode as it didn't follow the usual pace of the culprit reveal.

that poem thing felt so unserious to me. I couldn't feel invested and interested at all.
